Grand River Raceway, also known as Elements Casino Grand River, is a horse racing track and casino located in Elora, Ontario, Canada. The facility offers various forms of entertainment, including live thoroughbred racing, off-track betting, and gaming options.
History and Development

Over the years, the track has undergone several transformations, with significant upgrades made in 2007, including the addition of new grandstands and amenities. In 2011, Elements Casino acquired the property, introducing its Elements brand and expanding the gaming offerings.
Facilities and Operations
The Grand River Raceway encompasses a total area of approximately 15 acres, providing ample space for racing operations, gaming areas, and various facilities.
- The racetrack itself is a standardbred facility with a 5/8-mile oval dirt track. Live thoroughbred racing occurs during the spring and fall seasons.
- Elements Casino Grand River houses over 700 slot machines, as well as table games such as poker, blackjack, and roulette. A variety of electronic gaming options are also available.
- Dining venues include an on-site buffet, a snack bar located near the racetrack, and several casual restaurants within walking distance.
Racing Operations
The track hosts live thoroughbred racing events during two seasons: spring (April to June) and fall (September to October). A standard meeting schedule consists of one day per week for several months. During this time, thoroughbreds compete in various stakes races.
